Profile: Pavel Loskot joined the ZJU-UIUC Institute in January 2021 as an Associate Professor after being 14 years with Swansea University in the UK. He received his PhD degree in Wireless Communications from the University of Alberta in Canada, and the MSc and BSc degrees in Radioelectronics and Biomedical Electronics, respectively, from the Czech Technical University of Prague in the Czech Republic. In the past 25 years, he was involved in numerous collaborative research and development projects, and also held a number of paid consultancy contracts with industry. He is the Senior Member of the IEEE, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK, and the Recognized Research Supervisor of the UK Council for Graduate Education. His current research interests focus on mathematical and probabilistic modeling, statistical signal processing and classical machine learning for multi-sensor data.
Speech title: Processing Linear Graph Signals
Abstract: Linear graph is a special but important case of a time-varying signal. These signals are frequently used to model responses of linear dynamic systems. More importantly, linear graph signals are prone to algebraic manipulations, hierarchical representations, and other natural transformations. In this talk, we will consider properties and statistical inferences of corresponding multi-dimensional random processes defined over linear graphs including their power spectral density, filtering, and extrapolation. Our aim is to define a rigorous mathematical framework for exactly defining and processing stochastic signals over linear graphs which are built on well-known and widely adopted fundamental concepts in statistical signal processing. The talk may also clarify some common misconceptions about the graph signals often found in the literature.

Profile: Aniruddha Bhattacharjya is a PhD Alumni of Tsinghua University. He was a PhD scholar (Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) holder) in Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China under supervision of Prof. Xing Li (Present mentor) [ Late Prof. Wang Jing was his mentor]. This PhD work was supported by National Basic Research Program of China (2012CB316006), and National S&T Major Project (2015ZX03002010-002) and National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 61631013). He got full travel and conference funding from Tsinghua University's School of Information Science and Technology (SIST) and the Key Laboratory of Universal Wireless Communications (Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications), Ministry of Education, P.R.China (No.KFKT- 2014101) and National Basic Research Program of China (2012CB316000) to present his paper in Cambridge University, UK. His research interests are Cryptography, Information security, Applications of cryptography and IoT and CPS securities etc. He got best paper award in ACM ICC 2016, in Cambridge University, U.K. He has published 40 above International conferences and journal papers and book chapters. He has 15 years above teaching and research experiences. He has a Chinese Innovation patent granted as on date with Tsinghua University's affiliation and as per the protocol of the university. He is Senior member of IEEE. He is the Founder Chairman and Executive Director (DIN 10414713) of BCBRBAB INTERCONTINENTAL TRADING SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED.

Speech Title: Intelligent manufacturing and intelligent sensing development
Abstract: With the continuous development of information technology and industrial technology, intelligent manufacturing has become the development direction of future manufacturing industry. Intelligent manufacturing is based on digitization, networking and intelligence, through the integration of highly intelligent equipment, advanced sensors, intelligent control systems and advanced information technology to achieve efficient, high-quality, high-reliability production process. In this context, Made in China 2025, as a national strategy, has set intelligent manufacturing as the main direction of attack. Intelligent manufacturing is the main development direction of the future manufacturing industry, and the promotion of Made in China 2025 will accelerate the development of intelligent manufacturing. The development of intelligent manufacturing not only needs the support of technology, industry, policy and talent, but also needs good cooperation between enterprises to promote the common development of intelligent manufacturing industry chain. At the same time, the development of intelligent manufacturing also needs to pay attention to the establishment of risk management and regulatory mechanisms to ensure the high quality and safety of intelligent manufacturing. Intelligent manufacturing, data twin, intelligent control and industrial Internet are one of the important application fields of multi-sensor systems. Through the application and development of multi-sensor systems, comprehensive digitization and intelligence of equipment can be realized, production efficiency and product quality can be improved, and industrial transformation and upgrading and innovative development can be promoted.
